Cady is a very strong heroine, that is learning things and teaching Ethan. Rikard also an unexpected force in this book. I love the 1st book, but this one was even better! To know there is some interesting twists and turns coming in the next book, makes me wish Lisa Olsen wrote faster than she already does! I hate waiting! I read it 1 and 1/2 days and want to read it again!
What an ending! I completely Loved this whole series! And OH that Rikard, I will have dreams of him for nights to come. Lisa Olsen Amazes me with her ability to write these story that not only catches a readers interest but, but she brings the story to life. Please do your self a favor and get this series. You won't be disappointed!
If you haven't read this series yet you are missing out! The second installment follows our awesome heroine Cady as she is pulled deeper into the mysterious Company, and I have to say they are pretty shady but I won't spoil why. And of course more Ethan who is swoon worthy but acting strange. Ash is watching from the sidelines as he is still inside Ethan, and he seems slightly less antagonistic in this one. This book has characters you fall in love with, an amazing plot, and always leaves you in anticipation for the next. Loved it!!! Fantastic job Lisa Olsen!

Picking up where she left off in The Company of Shadows, Mrs Olsen delves deeper into the romance between Cady and Ethan. However, trouble seems to loom as Asherik, though bound, seems to be able to feel when Cady is near and creates problems for Cady and Ethan. Can Cady and Ethan work things out before the Company finds out, or will the Company take matters into their own hands.
I cant wait to read the next book in this series to see how events develop further.
Can I just say that I love Cady? She has had a hard life and wants to come off as cynical but really, deep down, she wants to believe the best in people. Ethan is just as hunky and sweet in this one too. We learn more about him and his past is hinted at but not fully divulged. I could see it changing everything and I really feel for the guy. The company has really screwed him over big time! The ending isn't a cliff hanger and does end on a satisfactory note until we get the next one.
I enjoyed this book even more so than the first. You finally get more information about The Company. Cady and Ethan become even closer as she gets pulled into the allure of The Company and its promises. It's a great read. I can't wait for the next book.

I specifically love how Lisa portrays the epic struggle between Ethan and Asherik. It leaves you feeling more and more sympathetic towards the bad guy. Don't get me wrong he is still bad and always will be but he actually loves Cady. In addition, you feel for Cady and Ethan because you know there is no way they can be happy whenever they are together or apart.
What a great find! the heroine, Cady, is great! I've always enjoyed Olsen's writing and truly have been enjoying this series. Cady is gritty and real! You won't find a Mary Jane here - that's for sure. In addition the supporting cast of characters a well developed with personality, a sense of mystery and some real depth.
There are so many series out there I write reviews to keep track of the ones I like and don't so far I have read the first 4 of these (I felt book 4 was the weakest of the bunch)
